We just finished the "Made" series so there ought to be plenty of people looking to serve. I noticed over on the message board, Cyndi did a great job sharing one of the opportunities we currently have to serve. The most amazing thing is that I was going to share more opportunities next week... I have decided to post these positions today on the heels of her post. We would love to add YOU to the hyde park Services Team!
Current Service Openings:
Audio/Visual Team: We are currently looking for people in 2 areas of this great ministry. We need 2 additional Lighting, 2 additional Sound engineers and 2 Stage Techs. Experience is not necessary but a love of live music is helpful. A love of hyde park is also required!
Lighting Volunteers work with the lighting team to provide special lighting effects to enhance our weekly services. Responsible teens are eligible.
Sound Engineers work with the sound team to, well, help us sound good in all services including Sunday mornings, rehearsals and Crossover events. Responsible teens are eligible.
Stage Techs: help move stuff during service, everything from props to the Pastor's table to mics.
2 Service Programming Directors (SPD): this is a new position that is being developed. I am looking for "just the right people" to handle this job. No experience necessary but a love of hyde park is required.
The SPD will "own" the service - they will help to see that the the service keeps moving. Must be organizational and able to lead others. SPD's see "the little things" that many of us (like myself) don't see. The SPD will also keep the worship leader from having to worry about the other stuff so he/she can lead the rest of us into the place of worship.
Children's Summer Worship workers: Kidz Konnection doesn't run in the summer and because of this we run alternative programming. WE HAVE AN AWESOME PROGRAM PLANNED TO BEGIN IN JUNE!!! We are currently looking for people who love kidz and love to have fun - that's it (everything else is easily trainable). No previous experience is necessary. A love of hyde park is!
First Impression Team: These are the people who make us glad we're at hyde park on Sunday's. We are currently looking for people who can SMILE BIG and would love to make a 1st time attender feel welcome. We have ministry opportunity openings in the following:
Greet Team: Smiling faces - "Welcome to Hyde Park! Can I help you find something?"
Parking Team: Smiling faces, Waving Hands - "Hey! Good Morning - Welcome to Hyde Park - glad you're here!
Name Tag Giver-outers: Smiling faces, "Good morning! What's your name so I can give you this name tag... we all wear name tags around here because there's so many new people!"
We also need hosts to work at our various Guest Services both Auditorium and Kidz Place.
