Sorry for being so late on this one. We had a pretty amazing Sunday at Hyde Park this week! Those of you who read me but aren't HP attenders must be like, "he's always saying that" - if you aren't a Hyde Park attender I just don't know how to express what Sunday is like here!
This will be short but here's what last weekend looked like:
- Our guest speaker for the weekend was Jonathan Lotz. Jonathan is the son of Danny and Ann Graham Lotz . Jonathan is such a humble (and tall - 6'9") guy who brought a really great word that resonated with our people Sunday. It was obvious that the Lord was using him mightily Sunday morning.
- I just gotta say, I am a HUGE FAN of Jon's mom. His grandad, Billy Graham, may have preached the gospel to over 220 million people, but I believe his mother is the best preacher in the family!!!
- I had the privilege of hearing some stories about stuff going on with them - God is at work!
- I also had the privilege of baptizing 3 people Sunday morning - "Yes, I have trusted Jesus as the forgiver of my sin and the leader of my life". YES!!!
- Worship was sweet yesterday. I love when God's people just cry out to Him and allow me to lead them there. The song "Your Name" continues to affect me in a powerful way.
- Sunday's Worship: "Blessed Be Your Name" (Matt Redman), At Calvary (G3 Worship Arrangement), "Your Name" (Paul Baloche), "Just As I Am" (Michael Neale arrangement). Great stuff.
- I told Jonathan, "you are SUCH a rockstar!". You should have seen all the people standing in line waiting to talk to him at the end of the service. He has a great sense of humor and decided not to smash little ol' me after my smart comment
(and no, it wasn't coffee that stunted my growth - I believe that would be the genes
).

Love, love, love Your Name. That song is legit.
